Evince Nigeria Limited (Evince Systems) today releases Oxus HR&Payroll suite v2.3.1. In this version, the following features were added:
- Dynamic fields updates: Add new fields on the fly for employees e.g. blogs, mentors
- Support for daily rate computation in payroll
- Support for hourly rate computation in payroll
Dynamic employee fields allow employers to define new fields for their employees e.g. Mentor, blog. The dynamic fields in Oxus HR&Payroll gives you interesting typed fields e.g. for mentor, you can define it as a Text field and define employee blog as a url field. The url field is automatically rendered as a url link in the employee profile and you can simply follow it by clicking on the link.
The following dynamic field types are currently supported in Oxus v2.3.1
- Yes/No
- Text
- Date
- Time
- Number
- Email
- Website
- File Upload
- Related field (Allows choosing from a list of related items)
Worthy of note is that the implementation of the dynamic employee fields is portable across versions as it does not force the creation of different schemas for different versions.
Improvements to the payroll in this version includes daily rate implementation. The formula based pay templates now recognize NUMDAYS and NUMHRS as constants that can be used in payroll computation.
Payroll offices are expected to upload an excel spreasheet containing employee IDs and the number of days worked/number of hours worked. The renumeration is thus calculated automatically and the payroll generated.
