Newest on our client list for the Oxus Suite is Pay4Me, a payment gateway located in Lekki, Lagos. Interesting is the situation that before now, Pay4Me already has net pay figures employees are used to. The challenge was for a utility to be added to Oxus Suite to enable optimal distribution of emoluments, given a certain net figure and give an optimized tax figure for each employee.
To mitigate the situation, Bayo Opadeyi, Developer & Platform Evangelist at Evince Systems added a utility (soon to be uploaded to http://www.taxophobia.com) called Pay Optimizer. With this new utility, you enter a net and hit calculate. The application responds by generating the basic, transportation and other pay items (in oxus speak) and ensures the final figure gives you the best tax figures as speculated in the Nigerian Personal Income Tax Act.
