I was accused by stan "the style" madueke of making Evince Systems sound like one of them big companies with 20 Engineers, 50 salesmen, top executives in jackets and big cars. Really, Evince is lean and cars, we have some.
Now, lean is good. At Evince we're a 5.5 man team. 3 Engineers, one of them, Keni, that's me who doubles as "management". 1 admin guy (Olumide Olanrewaju Babafemi) and a dedicated business developer (salesman? except she's a lady) Seun Kushimo. The .5, Gbenga Allen who works part time.
The other things we outsource; accounting we get someone to do occasionally when we have such needs, legal issues are definitely outsourced. When we have some interesting development like researching "Balanced Score Card" or accounting, yes, we just research it or get a subject matter expert to work with us, per time.
So, how do we plan to handle support issues and customer escalations? We have some ideas as we scale:
We get smarter: As we roll out Oxus HR v2, we've been working on "how to" videos. We plan to host this online and point clients and potentials to it. Hopefully this solves some problems.
We're putting up a demo site for Oxus HR on oxushr.com. Since we advocate "Never buy a software without viewing a demo", we'll not have to go to distant "Sango Otta" or Lekki for someone to see a demo of our apps.
All of us service our customer needs.
